Hera Zanders is getting sideways on a wooden bench in a locker room. She is working on taping up her hands and fingers as if she was getting ready for a boxing session.
Hera: I saw what Lizzy Livz had to say about me. She will do whatever she can, including cutting corners. That is not who I am. I will win or lose, fair and square. But she showed her hand, and I will be on the lookout. It is clear that all that matters to her is winning. Is winning really that important? Is it the end-all, be-all? Winning is great, but it is better to earn it. The slow rise to greatness is what really makes it all worth it. It makes it taste better. You can look back and be proud of yourself. What is Lizzy really proud of? Paying twelve bucks for an airport cup of coffee?
Hera reaches down and grabs a bottle of water and takes a large gulp.
